Everyone must have this problem. I think I'm on my forth, or fifth one of these. They always seem to break in the same place.

So I purchased some parts and am going to design my own....hope it works.

Looks like that will be a lifetime adapter alright, but it seems there must be a lot of sideways stress being put on your Python adapter, is your hose a little short ??? I couldnt see how that rig could recreate the venturi action that Python uses.

I think I broke one a long time ago too. Plus I find the plastic threads lose the battle with the brass threads over time as well. I will be interested to see how you make out with this project.

While I believe I was able to get a funnel shape on the inside pipe the outside pipe is not a funnel shape.

In any case the design didn't work, so back to the drawing board on this one.

You may need to hunt for it but you shuld be able to find venturi valves made of metal.

It is used for industrial purposes too, and that means overbuilt and chemical resistant.

No, none Aquagirl. I actually put this on the back burner after the FAIL, and got sidetracked setting up a couple more shrimp tanks.
