This was pretty much an overview of how Mr Jackson does his particular tanks. It was interesting to listen to but not exactly what I would call "enlightening". I don't mean that to sound harsh, Mr. Jackson has a ton of experience and is quite successful. He does not feel he has the time, or desire to be trimming his corals and is now keeping species that are known slow growers due to this fact.

His personal preference as regards to equipment is EuroReef skimmer, Ice cap ballasts, Spectra Pure Litre Meter, Medusa controllers and Pinpoint PH monitors.

He seems to like additives, undisturbed DSB's and is against overlighting a tank. He also uses crabs in his system.

All-in-all, nice to see how someone else does it, but not exactly an educational experience ...although he did impart some wisdom on catching elusive fish you want out of your tank. He uses a large hamster ball.
