flower pot fragging

has anyone tried to frag a red flower pot. if so how did u do it and how did it turn out.

I have seen it done using a dremal tool and also a tile saw. Goniopora is not a good coral to use to experiment with though.

I was going to say the same thing. Flower pot corals are not the most hardiest of corals to be experimenting with.

my peice looks like 2 tennis balls joined together. i think i will cut them apart and fragg one side in to two by cutting it in half. the thing i am wondering about is how to hold on to the coral with least amount of dammage. as for the cutting i will be using a dimond cut off wheel on a dremal.

As I was searching for the video on fragging Goniopora Flower pot corals I found this other video on fragging. I just was rolling over...this is fun, check it out!

I used a dremil with a diamond wheele also. The fraggs did very well.They healed over nicely.I think 1 out of the 5 fraggs did not make it.
If you are looking for something a little more hardier to frag try the red encrusting goniapora, they seem to have a much better survival rate.
